  I am currently involved in the organising of the Rotherham Children's Book Festival (Saturday 28 th June – Sunday 6 th July). This is an image of an alien cowboyFollowing on from my France trip, one of the things that jumped out at me were the designs of their book covers… or rather, the lack of them. This isn't to say that the books all looked exactly the same, but it appeared that the French don't entirely follow our habit of ‘over-marketing' books.
