“All books are divisible into two classes, the books of the hour, and the books of all time.” – John Ruskin
7th April 2008

OK, my turn to confess … my name is Rachel and this is my first ever blog! It’s hard to believe that in this day and age, and as much as I love reading them, I’ve never actually contributed to a blog. I’m just pretending that I’ve climbed Enid Blyton’s Faraway Tree and have entered the magical world of Blogs!
It doesn’t seem too scary so far: I’ll give it a whirl, who knows what I’ll find along the way. That tends to be my attitude to many things, but particularly to reading, and as the wise old Dr.Seuss once said “The more that you read, the more things you know, the more things you learn, the more places you’ll go!”
So I suppose what I’m really saying is: there’s a first time for everything. Even if you consider yourself a dedicated reader,
Have you ever entered the world of Science Fiction?
Travelled the world with Bryson or Palin?
Tried to find out whodunnit with Christie or Rendell?
Recited poetry with Cope?
Pondered with Coelho?
If you want to try something new but don’t know where to start, apart from asking a friendly Library Assistant you could visit Whichbook. Who knows the places you’ll go?! Then you can make this bloggers day and comment below: let me know where you’ve been, what you’ve learnt and whether you think I should go there too……
